Yes....Friday....it's the day....last workin day of tis wk...

finallly tis wk has come...but then seems like no news....hmm....i think most probably not approve ba....

well then....i think i can jux proceed with wht i wanted and planned to do....

seems long to me waiting for an ans for the pass two wks...but then seems short as the day had finally arrive....time had been tickling by fast without knowing it....

Life at SG....hmmm....seem bore?....seem interesting?...seem hectic?....seem busy?.... now i have no comments...jux tht pretty miss my deardear....kekeke...thou juz few mths away nia after our wedding....it oredi 5mths le....i think will get to see him next yr ba....in March? (tht's wht i heard)....and of cos during tis period, i got to settle everythg by myself...but anyway...i had been doin everythg alone since tht day i settle down at SG....i had prepared myself for tht...long time ago..b4 i make the decision to stay at SG and join deardear later on....(thou in between there's some hip-cups or can i say false new of goin over early tis yr?)....

Does anyone noe why and where...the start of having 1st of April been called the April Fool Day?

April Fool's Day History
The history of April Fool's Day or All Fool's Day is uncertain, but the current thinking is that it began around 1582 in France with the reform of the calendar under Charles IX. The Gregorian Calendar was introduced, and New Year's Day was moved from March 25 - April 1 (new year's week) to January 1.

Communication traveled slowly in those days and some people were only informed of the change several years later. Still others, who were more rebellious refused to acknowledge the change and continued to celebrate on the last day of the former celebration, April 1. These people were labeled "fools" by the general populace, were subject to ridicule and sent on "fool errands," sent invitations to nonexistent parties and had other practical jokes played upon them. The butts of these pranks became known as a "poisson d'avril" or "April fish" because a young naive fish is easily caught. In addition, one common practice was to hook a paper fish on the back of someone as a joke.

This harassment evolved over time and a custom of prank-playing continue on the first day of April. This tradition eventually spread elsewhere like to Britain and Scotland in the 18th century and was introduced to the American colonies by the English and the French. Because of this spread to other countries, April Fool's Day has taken on an international flavor with each country celebrating the holiday in its own way.

In Scotland, for instance, April Fool's Day is devoted to spoofs involving the buttocks and as such is called Taily Day. The butts of these jokes are known as April 'Gowk', another name for cuckoo bird. The origins of the "Kick Me" sign can be traced back to the Scottish observance.

In England, jokes are played only in the morning. Fools are called 'gobs' or 'gobby' and the victim of a joke is called a 'noodle.' It was considered back luck to play a practical joke on someone after noon.

In Rome, the holiday is known as Festival of Hilaria, celebrating the resurrection of the god Attis, is on March 25 and is also referred to as "Roman Laughing Day."

In Portugal, April Fool's Day falls on the Sunday and Monday before lent. In this celebration, many people throw flour at their friends.

The Huli Festival is celebrated on March 31 in India. People play jokes on one another and smear colors on one another celebrating the arrival of Spring.

So, no matter where you happen to be in the world on April 1, don't be surprised if April fools fall playfully upon you.

Rainy SG

thunder...storm...rain....it had been a rainy season at Singapore....it had been rainin since late feb....till now....some area even got flooded....like orchard rd lar...news had been forcasting thunderstorm and it the whole wk....Zzzz....and mostly in the late noon...the rain will come...pouring down.... ....

heard from hubby and my frens at France..tht the weather over there is wet too...think due to the weather changing ba....from winter to spring...hmm..but then it rain...and shine...rain...and shine...making quite a no of ppl fallin sick....deardear is one of them..he said he not feeling too well too....oh gosh....hope spring will arrive...or has it oredi arrive?..jux tht yet to settle down?

can hear and see lightin across the sky now...seems like it will rain again...probably late in the nite....the thunder nowsaday...was so loud...nv heard so loud thunder b4...and the lightin was so flashing....my..my...wonderin...my niece and nephews at the childcare gt frightened a nt...hmm..

thgs had been pullin back...which a lot of thgs i cn't put it forward...well..shall see next wk..how ba...god had been playin a joke with me?...well...well...whatever is it...the only thg is to b patience...jux one more wk..and we shall noe...and see....

yes...finally all boxes gone...send out...ready to b shipped..."yeah"..."finally"...

next is to settle my billing staffs etc, cancellation of hp lah....lalala....

packed my luggage...lalala...

then lastly meet up with frens...

really wan to thank my parents for helpin me in the packin...feel so bad...cos they oredi so old...and still need them to help me..."shi shan zi you pa pa he ma ma hao"...

How i spend my CNY

Had dinner at Dajie's hse....on the nite of "chu 3"...then we headed for Singapore River at around 9pm plus....wow..the "river bank" was sure packed with ppl....tis yr was much more crowded than last yr...as tis yr...more stalls was open...jux like pasar malan...and havin a open funfair.....

same as last yr, God of Fortune was stationed on the same spot..but tis yr....was different....God of Fortune will sprinked some golden flakes...and let visitors to capture it....

at 1st, we didnt noe why so many ppl standing below the God of Fortune....only after when we saw the golden flakes, then we noe...some ppl even got an umberlla ready to catch hold of the golden flakes...no wonder they were standing and waiting for so long....

tis yr...there's a lil garden where beautiful flowers was planted....and there's 12 Chinese zodiac animals made of metal string and was lighted up in diff colors for u to take pics...didnt fin all the walk down tis yr as too many ppl le...plus the kids are tired...so we headed for home...

tht's will make it to 28boxes le....gotta to "jia you" some more..."tired"....

hmmm..think gotta to delay in sendin the boxes out again le...might not b able to make it to send all out at the end of the mth...but then i hope i cn make it....

yesterday....got an early V-day present....scent so sweet....color so pretty....everythg was so sweet and nice...hee...present form hubby lor...who else leh?
